Video Phone Sharing With Your Laptop
Note: You must have an internet connection for this to work. Your phone will not boot up unless you
have a minimum of 128 kbps of upload. Speed test at (www.speakeasy.net). You must repeat the steps
anytime you are connecting to different network than the one you shared on originally. Repeat the same
steps for a wireless card. Right click the card instead of the built in wireless. Phone should take no longer
than 1 minute to boot up.
• Right click the 2 small computers at the lower right of your screen.
• Click on Network and Sharing Center
• Click on Manage network connections
• Right click on Wireless Network Connection or your Aircard, usually in the “Dial-up”

• Click on Properties
• Click on the Sharing tab
• Check the box that says “Allow other computer users to connect through this computer”
• Select “Local Area Connection” in the Home networking connection drop-down
• (If you are using an Aircard: Click on the Security tab. Make sure the options are set to

• Plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop and video phone
• Turn on your Video Phone
• Left click on Start
• Click on Control Panel
• Click on Network Connections
• Right click on Wireless Network Connection or your Aircard, usually in the “Dial-up”

• Go to the apple on the top left and click
• Open System Preferences
• Open Internet & Network and then the Sharing folder
• Click on the Internet tab
• Look for "Share you connection from…". Select the location you are receiving internet
from (ex. WiFi or Airport, Bluetooth, Aircard, etc...)
• Then in the bottom where it says "To computers using…" select “Built-in Ethernet”.
• When all that is done click on Start where it says internet sharing.
• Plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop and video phone
• Turn on your Video Phone
